THE NEWS

This year of 2007 has been OK for "BATTERY" thus far!!! We've been all over the US and have broken into some new areas, did really well & kicked some major ass!!! The word about "BATTERY" is spreading!

Here's some of the highlites of 2007 so far....

* Played some cools shows this year in some new clubs that really rocked. "Gatorz" in Toledo Really Kicks Ass! Huge crowds...over 1000 ppl.

* "Magic City Music Hall" in Johnson City New York was great!

* The Middle East Club in Cambridge Mass & Harper's Ferry in Boston were both cool rooms & great crowds!

* Mardi Gras Multiclub in Providence Rhode Island with "HOLY DIVER" the Ronnie James Dio Tribute, was sweet!

* Bourbon St. in Chicago was amazing! We're back there on May 26th, 2007.

* The Black Hole Rock Club with Sir Brian Pinball at the helm...was a great new room in the Baltimore area. We're back there in June 2007.

* RPM's in Pittsburg was great for us cause we hadn't played in Pittsburg for years. We got to meet NHL Goalie KEN WREGGETT from the Pittsburg Penguins. He & his fiance' came to one of our shows. We got KEN up on stage & did shots with him, so he presented us with an autographed Penguins Jersey. WOW! Dave the sound man is one of the coolest dudes ever!

* We're playing the Swamp Rock Bash in UP of Michigan in June the day after we play The Locks III Live Festival in Akron Ohio...June 1st & 2nd 2007.

* GATORZ BAR in Farmington New Mexico rocked hard!!! Lots of party hardy Metallica fans & friends!!!!

* We're returning to CLUB LaVELA in Panama City Beach Florida in May 2007. This club is the one featured on MTV spring break. One of the coolest venues in the US.

* We added our 1000th friend on myspace, Tracy Shapiro from Chicago.

*Our Puerto Rico trip was cancelled due to promoter shit, but we'll be back to PR soon. Some of the best shows we've ever had were in PR. Senior Frogs & The Hard Rock Cafe' in San Juan were just INSANE!!!!

* So far in 2007 we've been from New Mexico to Massachusetts....Florida to North Dakota ...and all points in between bringing Metallica's show to Metallica fans & also to ppl who can't get to see Metallica or can't afford to see Metallica or live too far away from a major venue to see Metallica. See, when Metallica is in the studio, "BATTERY" is on tour bringing Metallica music to the masses. When Metallica is in rehab, or on vacation, or on hiatus, or in therapy or in court...."BATTERY" is still pounding the pavement, delivering the goods, bangin our heads & bringing Metallica to every nook & cranny of the US. April 2006........"BATTERY" headlined the first annual MIDTALLICA BASH in Chicago presented by the Offical Chicago Chapter of the Metallica fanclub, Anger in Chicago. Thanx to Gabriella Delia, Jeff, Fireman Ray, Gooley, Billy, Pat, and Kevin Eischen at Guitar Center South Bend Indiana. The event was held at Tiger O'Stylies in Berwyn on the North side of Chicago. There was a great crowd of Metalli-bashers & we played for over 6 hours...WHIPLASH indeed! Thanx to Tiger, owner of the bar. Gooley brought 6 different limited edition Metallica guitars for Jason & Ren to play. Thanx Dude.

May 2006........"BATTERY" is on MYSPACE. We have over 1400 friends right now in May 2007. Tracy Shapiro from Chicago was our 1000th friend add on myspace in 2006. To find "BATTERY" on myspace go to myspace.com/batterymetallicatribute and "add" us to your friends.

On May 20th, 2006 "BATTERY" went to pay our respects to "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott's gravesite in Arlington Texas. We checked out of the hotel in Dallas at noon & headed west on I-30 to Arlington, about 25 minute drive. Jason got directions from the light guy the night before. The grave site is about 20 feet from the water & has a large black headstone with "Abbott" chiseled in white. On the ground lies a 3 foot x 4 foot brass engravement with a picture of Dimbag's head at the top, his guitar in the middle & some text at the bottom.!!
